Welcome to Rooted in Nature Therapy: Where People + Planet Restore Together

¡Hola, comunidad!

¿Cómo están? I’m so excited to finally share the heart of Rooted in Nature Therapy with you. This is just the beginning of a journey we’re walking together, and I’m thrilled to invite you into this space where restoration, community, and nature come together.

What is Rooted in Nature Therapy?

At Rooted in Nature Therapy (RINT), we believe that true restoration isn’t found just in the office—it happens in connection with the world around us. I’m Jenny Lopez, and as a First-Gen, immigrant, woman of color, I’m committed to creating a space where community care meets the power of nature. We’re cultivating a space where people can come together, reconnect with the land, and restore themselves in a way that feels authentic and nurturing.

We work together to create a place of respite—a space where you can pause, breathe, and allow the natural world to support you. Whether we meet in person, virtually, or through phone sessions, every step of our work is guided by nature’s wisdom, helping us find balance and connection.

Why Ecotherapy?

¿Qué es la ecoterapia? Ecotherapy is about engaging with nature as a source of balance and support. It’s not just about going outdoors—it’s about being present with the earth, listening to the birds, and connecting with the Land in a way that brings peace to the mind and heart.

At Rooted in Nature Therapy, ecotherapy helps us slow down and tap into nature’s restorative gifts. It’s about taking time to ground ourselves, reflect together, and encourage the Public Lands around us to help us navigate stress and life’s challenges. This is a practice rooted in community—we heal together, grounded by nature’s dones and care.

Our Journey Together

We’ve officially welcomed our first 10 participants into the RINT community, and it’s been beautiful to see the way people are reconnecting with nature and each other. Whether through virtual connections or meeting in San Fernando Valley public parks, nature’s presence grounds us all.

One of the most meaningful reflections from our Roots in Motion: Hike for Wellness event in May 2025 was when someone shared: “Listen to the birds, dance, cycle, walk, and remember—You are enough.” This simple wisdom is what we practice with Rooted in Nature Therapy—creating a space where we can rest, restore and be reminded of our own worth by simply being.

What’s Coming Next

This blog will be a space to share resources, information, offer restorative practice ideas, and share stories of collective care. We’ll also provide tips on how to integrate nature into your daily routine and create spaces of restoration—both individually and within your communities.
